Differences in application and construction.
The choice of drive or drive system is absolutely crucial for each individual stair lift, because the drive determines how the stair lift moves. Different stair lifts and therefore different drives are required for different requirements, for example for indoor and outdoor use or for winding staircases.
Curved Lifts
If you have to go around a corner, as in the case of spiral staircases, then a curved lift is used. The lift rail follows every curve of the staircase - so you can easily overcome several floors. However, this rail system requires individual production, as every angle has to be taken into account. We developed the TY or TW drive solution for curved lifts.
Straight Lifts
Stair lifts for straight stairs (also called straight stair lifts) can be manufactured in a standardized manner, unlike curved lifts - only the rail length is adapted to the respective length of the stairs. Our TW products are ideal for straight stair lifts and can be configured according to customer specifications.
TW Worm Gearbox
The TW are angle gear units and are based on a single-stage worm gear with DC motor (brushed or brushless) and holding brake.
