SD/SW -Sectional Door Operators
Our sectional door operators are designed for the operation of both balanced and unbalanced sectional doors. The drive is mounted directly onto the door shaft. All functional units are equipped with a quiet and self-locking worm gear featuring high static holding torque. All electrical connections are made via detachable connectors. Tailor-made solutions can be implemented quickly and professionally.
Our functional units are available for operating voltages of 3×230/400VAC and 1x230VAC, equipped with limit switches (mechanical or electronic) and emergency operation options (emergency hand chain, hand crank, or release). Rolling Shutters
Our roller shutter drives are designed for the operation of unbalanced roller shutters. The drive is pushed onto the cylinder shaft and can serve directly as a bearing for the door shaft. The drives can be mounted horizontally or vertically. With four gearbox sizes, Tornado offers a wide range from 50 lb-ft to 2.000 lb-ft.
The maintenance-free safety catch, which is independent of position and speed, is integrated into the gearbox. All electrical connections are made via detachable connectors.
Our functional units are available for operating voltages of 3×230/400 VAC and 1×230 VAC, equipped with limit switches (mechanical or electronic) as well as emergency operation (emergency hand chain, hand crank).

High Speed Doors
Our high-speed door operators are designed for the operation of unbalanced, high-speed doors as well as vertical folding doors. The drive is pushed onto the cylinder shaft and can serve directly as a bearing for the door shaft. The drives can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Our range includes four gearbox sizes covering a speed range from 40 rpm to 290 rpm with an output torque of 30 lb-ft to 230 lb-ft.
The maintenance-free safety catch, independent of position and speed, is integrated into the gearbox. All electrical connections are made via detachable connectors. Our functional units are available for operating voltages of 3×230/400VAC and 1x230VAC, equipped with limit switches (mechanical or electronic) and emergency operation options (emergency hand chain, hand crank).

Control Panels
Tornado offers a complete range of products for the automation of industrial doors, which naturally includes high-quality control systems. We carry a wide selection for various application areas, ranging from simple deadman controls to pulse and automatic controls, as well as frequency inverter controls. Numerous custom solutions round out the product portfolio, with every product meeting current market standards.
Integrated (PIC) controllers are designed for direct mounting on the drive. Both the controller and specifically its power section are adapted to each individual motor.
External controls can be connected to almost all drives in the product portfolio.

TST Product Range
Tornado offers an extensive range of frequency inverter and reversing contactor controls.
The new TST FUZ2 controller family is available in three variants: -A (for balanced sectional doors), -B (for barriers and sliding gates), and -C/-CX (for high-speed doors). Depending on the variant, they are supplied in either a small (-A/-B/-C/-CX) or a large plastic housing (-CGH/-CXGH or LGH).
In addition to a variety of application-specific innovations, the improved motor management is particularly noteworthy, ensuring that the control systems remain operational at all times, even under the most demanding environmental conditions.
The TST FUF2-AH/-CH/-FH for three-phase drives up to 0,75 hp / 5 A, 1,5 hp / 8 A, or 2,2 hp / 10 A features specialized properties such as overload capacity optimized for doors, a more powerful 24V power supply (3500mA), and the "Safe 24V Brake" function with monitoring in accordance with EN 13849.
If a three-phase connection is required, Tornado offers the FU3F in various variants (-AH/-CH/-FH) for three-phase drives up to 2,2 hp / 5 A, 4,0 hp / 10 A, and 5,0 hp / 12 A – also featuring overload capacity optimized for door applications.
V7E Control Systems
The V7E is a premium control system for all industrial door operators. This single version is capable of evaluating both mechanical and electronic limit switches. Doors can be operated in hold-to-run, pulse, or automatic modes.
The V7E is available for three-phase drives up to 2,3 hp (3x230VAC) or 4 hp (3x400VAC) with a maximum motor current of 8.5A. The control system features three 24VDC outputs.
Parameters can be set quickly and easily using three membrane buttons, while a four-digit 7-segment display provides clear menu navigation.
Additionally, options for radio control, traffic lights, and induction loops are available.
PIC Control Panel
The PIC controller series is available in various formats, either as integrated controllers (PIC 500 / PIC 590) for direct mounting on the drive or in a separate housing (PIC 300).
With the PIC 201 (with swing lip) and PIC 204 (with telescopic lip) series, Tornado also offers solutions for dock levelers.
