Special Gearbox / Geared Motors

Special Solutions for Gearbox

Customized gear motors are becoming increasingly relevant. Individual tasks require equally individual solutions. Tornado designs drive solutions that are XNUMX% tailored to the specific area of use and the concrete application requirements. Over the decades, we have been involved in many design projects, from supporting customers with complete gearbox specifications to building the first prototypes and delivering serial production.

Our engineering department applies its expertise in development and innovation to create efficient, durable, and cost-effective drive solutions. A custom gearbox from Tornado provides you with a unique, tailor-made product and optimal service for your specific application. Whether we implement a worm or helical drive—using TW, TY, or TC technology—we are confident the solution will meet all your technical and commercial requirements.

Worm Gear - TW

The TW product line is part of the Tornado right-angle gearbox range and is based on a single-stage worm gearbox with a DC or AC motor. Naturally, we also offer this series as individual gearboxes to ensure our customers maintain maximum flexibility.

• Appropriate center distances depending on torque
• Numerous gear ratios
• Variety of output shaft designs (solid shaft, hollow shaft, flange shaft)
• Tailor-made gearbox housing
• Variable motor configurations (induction motors as well as PMDC motors)

Worm / Spur Gears - TY

The TY products are part of the two-stage right-angle gearbox range and are based on a worm-helical gearbox with a DC or AC motor. Naturally, we also offer this series as individual gearboxes, ensuring that our customers maintain their flexibility.

• Higher efficiency, more compact, higher torque with less engine power than with a single-stage gearbox
• Suitable axle distances depending on torque
• Numerous gear ratios
• Variety of output-side shaft designs (solid shaft, hollow shaft, flange shaft)
• Tailor-made gearbox housing
• Different motor configurations (induction motors and PMDC motors…)

See other Applications.

Highly Customised Worm Gearbox - TC

Gearboxes with TC classification are custom designed and developed in close collaboration with the customer according to their specific requirements.
Drawing on our long-standing expertise and experience in the design of custom gearboxes, we advise and support you from the initial idea and the first prototype through to serial production. Examples of TC gearboxes include twin-worm gearboxes, tubular drives, and flat gearboxes.

• Numerous center distances (from 0.04 in to 0.4 in)
• Adapted gear ratios
• Diverse output shaft designs (solid shaft, hollow shaft, flange shaft)
• Tailor-made gearbox housing
• Variable motor configurations (induction motors as well as PMDC motors)

See other Applications.
