A lot depends on the flawless functioning of our products. This includes, not least, the operational readiness and safety of roller doors or stair lifts. The safety and reliability of our products are therefore our absolute priority. They must function flawlessly even under the most difficult conditions.
In order to achieve a low failure rate, all functional units at Tornado are in demand. As part of the integrated management system, quality assurance accompanies the entire production process - from development to delivery.
Quality assurance carries out an initial piece inspection and monitors ongoing production in pre-production. After the final inspection, the parts are installed in the assembly department. We use professional equipment in the air-conditioned measuring room. This includes a 3D coordinate measuring machine, a Klingelnberg gear measuring machine and an optical shaft measuring machine of the Vicivision Ergon 850 type.
Quality assurance also takes care of the control of measuring equipment, incoming goods inspection, analyses and statistical evaluations.
During production, a leak test and a final assembly test are carried out on all drives. If required by the customer, this is supplemented by a mechanical and/or electrical test on the load test bench.

Design & Development
The starting point for our development is always the specific application required. Our design department designs the appropriate drive in close cooperation with the customer. Modern development methods such as rapid prototyping are used.
Fabrication Technology
In our in-house workshop, we not only develop and assemble the drives, but also manufacture the essential and key components, devices and tools. Our customers benefit equally from the professional experience and the new perspective on proven products.
Assembly
Tornado builds over 800 products every day through our semi-automatic assembly line and other work stations. These consist of components manufactured in-house and purchased parts. This enables assembly times to be permanently optimized and the highest quality standards to be guaranteed.
