A lot depends on the flawless operation of our products, which is critical for the readiness and safety of applications like roller doors and stairlifts. Consequently, safety and reliability are our absolute priorities; our products must function perfectly even under the most demanding conditions.
To achieve a low failure rate, all functional units at Tornado are involved. As part of the integrated management system, quality assurance accompanies the entire manufacturing process—from development through to delivery.
Quality assurance performs initial sample inspections and monitors ongoing production in the prefabrication stage. Following final inspection, the parts are installed in the assembly department. We use professional equipment in our climate-controlled measuring room. This includes, among other things, a 3D coordinate measuring machine, a Klingelnberg gear measuring machine, and a Vicivision Ergon 850 optical shaft measuring machine.
The control of measuring equipment, incoming goods inspection, analyses, and statistical evaluations are also handled by quality assurance.
During production, a leak test and a final assembly inspection are performed on all drives. Depending on customer requirements, these are supplemented by a mechanical and/or electrical test on the load test bench.

The starting point for our development is always the specific application required. Our department designs the appropriate drive in close cooperation with the customer, utilizing modern development methods such as rapid prototyping.
Fabrication Technology
In our in-house workshop, we not only develop and assemble the drives, but also manufacture essential key components, devices, and tools. Our customers benefit equally from our professional experience and our fresh perspective on proven products.
Montage
Every day, we manufacture more than 800 products across our semi-automatic assembly lines and specialized workstations. By integrating in-house manufactured components with high-quality sourced parts, we continuously optimize assembly times while guaranteeing the highest quality standards.
