Innovative solutions for limited space
Limited space requires innovative solutions. A platform lift in the home (Homelifts) or a hybrid of a lift and a stairlift (LULA) are solutions that enable people to move around their home without barriers. Tornado is proud that its drive technology is used in these lifts all over the world. The lifts are EN81-1/2 compliant, i.e. platform or cabin lifts with a maximum speed of 0,15 meters per second. Our drives are also compatible for lifts according to ASME A17.1/CSA B44 (USA, Canada)
This is an electric drive with frequency control. The design can vary greatly - whether a spindle drive, a belt system or a direct drive - depending on the requirements of the room and the customer.
For passenger lifts, Tornado offers special drive solutions of TW series (worm gear) or TD series (standard worm gear)
