Dumbwaiters and Freight Elevators
Dumbwaiters are primarily found in hotels, office buildings, and hospitals, as well as on ships. They are used for the transport of goods, as well as people. With a load capacity of up to 2.000 lbs, they are ideally suited for transporting food, files, or medical supplies.
Tornado has developed specialized drive solutions for dumbwaiters and freight elevators (particularly energy-efficient thanks to state-of-the-art drive technology), such as TD Series or custom series. These specialized solutions are developed when standard products do not meet specific technical requirements, or when customers wish to differentiate themselves from the competition through unique performance features or proprietary designs. TWBoth TD and TW solutions involve a drive with a compact worm gearbox.
