The challenges in stage technology lie in the fact that, ideally, it goes completely unnoticed. For drives in particular, this requirement is not easily met. Over decades, Tornado has expanded its expertise in manufacturing high-quality, low-noise, and safe drive solutions for the upper and lower machinery of studio and stage technology. Applications include, for example, scenery hoists or fly systems. Furthermore, our drives have also proven themselves in moving loads such as lighting units.

Individual complete systems and individual components
Tornado determines the requirements for each specific stage application and develops a high-performance solution. We design complete plug-and-play systems featuring a geared motor, (double) brake, and limit switch. Additionally, we offer individual components such as gearboxes to provide our customers with maximum flexibility.
Our worm and helical gearboxes from the standard product series form the basis for this. The wide range of mounting options for our series products (TD series / TS series) enables maximum modification. This allows us to adapt the product to almost any requirement. In some cases, it is advisable to build completely new, customized drive solutions.
Whether a standard product or a component specifically designed for the solution—we ensure that the solution is seamlessly integrated into the stage application.
